One thing that we can all agree on is that change is pervasive, inevitable and intriguing.
However, we do not need to agree that change has to be disruptive, uncertain, confusing and challenging. We allow it to be that way because we often do not have a good approach to embrace change in our professional lives.
We want to develop a way for organizations to not only accept change but to actually embrace it and flourish in the face of the “perpetual white water” that we are all in. We also want our students to gain some hands on knowledge of Organizational Psychology and Change Management in today’s job market.
We have developed a theoretical approach for managing change that we call VALUE. VALUE is an acronym for Vision, Alignment, Understanding and Enactment. They represent the kind of approach that can help someone be successful in dealing with change, but the problem breaks down in its execution.
